How does an independent retail food business really interact with it’s customers? The Butcher Shoppe’s Tasting Kitchen is one way, and a really fun one at that! Under the leadership of Cecily Mukhtar, a former Washington, D.C-based restaurant owner and sommelier, the Tasting Kitchen debuted in early 2011. It is the perfect showcase to educate all of our shoppers about new as well as traditional ways to think about cooking with our products. Also, with over 1500 new grocery items added in late 2010, it’s a great way to introduce new things that we may not have always had. What’s better than trying something new before you purchase it! Look for tastings, demos and a friendly face right inside our front doors most Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Chances are you’ll probably find something you didn’t know you liked! |
