BBQ Shepherd’s Pie



1 lb. ground chuck & turkey mix

1.5 lbs. heated The Butcher Shoppe mashed potatoes

1/2 c. shredded cheddar

1/2 tsp. granulated garlic

1/2 c. The Butcher Shoppe BBQ sauce

1/2 c. brown gravy

1 14 oz. can peas & carrots, drained

1/2 c. french fried onions

salt & pepper to taste


Brown chuck & turkey mix in skillet. Drain and return to skillet. Stir in bbq sauce, gravy, veggies, salt and pepper to taste. Heat over low heat for 2-3 minutes. Meanwhile, stir cheddar cheese and garlic into heated mashed potatoes. Pour the meat and veggie mixture into an 8×8 pan and smooth out surface. Next add mashed potato mixture smoothing it out to cover meat. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Add french fried onions to top and bake 5 minutes more. Serves 6.
