Brown Sugar & Bacon Glaze

3/4 c. Brown sugar

1/4 c. Soy sauce

1/4 c. Dijon mustard

1/8 c. Rice wine vinegar

4-6 slices of bacon, crumbled

Combine ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until all sugar is dissolved.  Lower heat and allow sauce to continue cooking at a gentle boil until it thickens to your desired consistency.   Remove from heat and glaze your meat, seafood or vegetables.

Cooking tip:  Because of their high sugar content, glazes are best applied when your food is almost completely cooked.  Otherwise the glaze can burn and ruin the dish.
