Ingredients

14-16 oz. bagged sauerkraut

1 tbsp. diced onion

1/2 honey crisp apple, diced and seeded

1 tbsp. light brown sugar

1 tbsp. butter

4-8 oz. apple cider

salt & pepper to taste

Directions

Melt butter in a medium skillet. Cook onions and apples until translucent. Add sauerkraut, apple cider, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Turn heat to low and simmer until done.
Note: Can also be simmered in crock pot
